While the Carolinas are new to the Major League Soccer world, both states have a long history of supporting soccer. One shining example of this is the incredible soccer programs at Universities in both states.
There are roundel logos on every continent where professional club soccer is played. In a way, it is the perfect shape for a crest in this beautiful game of ours.
So, was it worth the wait? For me personally, as a designer and a self-professed brand nerd, Charlotte FC was the ideal option and the crest is simplistically complex.
